If you’re Seasoned
You’ve built something, and you know a lot of it came from trial and error. Bring your experience and your open questions. Fresh eyes may show you something you stopped seeing years ago.
If you’re Sprouting
You have an idea, or just a feeling there’s something out there. Bring it as it is, rough edges and all. Put it on the table, hear how others see it, and work out your own next step.
What is business mining?
Business mining is digging together. We bring the ideas, trends, and questions we’re chewing on and work through them as a group — helping grow the businesses we already have and helping new ones take shape.
Nobody here has all the answers. That’s the point.

Good to know
Do I need to own a business?
No. An idea, or just curiosity, is enough.
Is someone going to lecture or pitch to us?
No. There are no speakers and no sales pitches. It’s a conversation among peers, and everyone’s experience counts — mistakes included.
What does it cost?
Nothing. It’s free, and soft drinks and water are provided.
Why only 12 seats?
We’re keeping it small on purpose so everyone gets heard, and the room is cozy. When the group is ready to grow, we have other options, and we’ll weigh every suggestion on how to do it.
When do you meet?
Monthly, on the 2nd or 3rd Tuesday (depending on holidays), 6:00–7:00 PM at Landrum Library. Each month’s date is posted here and on our social pages.
Why reserve a seat?

I’m Michael Nyberg, and I’m seasoned and sprouting. Seasoned by 30 years in technology (that’s 30 years of turning it off and on again), and sprouting here in Landrum after 10 years in the Upstate. I spend most of my time behind a keyboard, so I started this group out of curiosity, to meet my neighbors in real life and trade ideas face to face.
I host the conversation; the answers come from the table.
Each month’s question grows out of the last one.
There’s no set lineup. The topic for the next meetup comes from the questions we raise at the one before it, so the group decides where we dig next. We’re here to keep learning and growing together, and the conversation goes wherever we take it.
